Our run is still and will always be about showing our gratitude to those who have and are serving our nation in the military and throughout the nation in law enforcement. Vets and Cops is what we're all about and we honor those that paid the ultimate sacrifice not for how they died but for how they lived. Come ride with us and honor those men and women we Americans call heroes.
This event will start at approximately 10:30am on Saturday, June 6th from the Gary R. Riggins Memorial Armory Building at 1710 Fairlane Road in Yreka, CA. If your are arriving in town the night before the run we recommend the official Far Side Run motels- Baymont Inn & Suites 1-866-692-5955 or the Holiday Inn Express at 1-800-HOLIDAYINN.
Registration will take place at 8:00am at the Captain Gary R. Riggins Memorial Armory, $25 per bike and an additional $5 if you have a passenger. Registration includes the custom made Far Side Run event pin and lunch. Breakfast will also be served at 8:00am for a small donation. Event t-shirt sales along with additional Far Side merchandise will be on sale prior to the Run in the armory.
This years run will take all legal motorcycles through the historic Siskiyou County communities of Yreka, Weed, and Mount Shasta and end at the Mount Shasta Ski and Board Park. The route traverses the impressive and imposing 14,162 foot Mount Shasta to the far side of the mountain.
This event is sponsored by the Siskiyou County Veterans Service Office to create a county veterans and law enforcement memorial and to support the Evergreen Veterans cemetery as well as other important veterans and law enforcement memorial projects.
We ride for those heros who served in our military and law enforcement agencies around the country who no longer can. Our purpose is to remember them, not for how they died, but for how they lived. God Bless America and those who serve her.
